What we know about you, and what we do with it.

What we collect

• When you ask for a design: your name, business name, phone number, email if you give one, and whatever you tell us about what you want.
• If you become a customer: the same, plus your site's details and a record of payments. Card details go directly to Stripe — we never see or store them.
• When you use this site: basic server logs kept by our host, and small amounts of data stored in your own browser to remember things like your language and theme choice.
• Our emails may include a small image that tells us whether the email was opened.

What we don't do

We don't sell, rent, or trade your information. We don't share your phone number with anyone. We don't run advertising trackers, analytics pixels, or social media tracking on this site.

We count visits by approximate country — and, in the US, Canada and Mexico, state and city — using our host's rough guess from your connection. We never store your IP address, device details or the full link you came from: only daily totals.

On chenchosbuilt.com we also count which of our own pages people move between and taps on our Text and Call links, as daily totals only, nothing about who.

On free designs we make for a business, we count whether the page was opened and which buttons were tapped, to know if they've seen it — no IP address or device details are stored.

On websites we host for a business, we count visits, which of their pages were opened, and taps on their Call, Text, Book, Order and Directions buttons, as daily totals only. No IP address, cookies or device details are stored.

Who we share it with

Only the services we need to operate, and only what they need:

• Stripe — payments and card storage.
• Supabase — the database and sign-in behind your account.
• Netlify — hosting.
• Twilio — sends and receives our text messages (your number and the texts themselves).
• Anthropic — the AI we use to help read requests and draft designs and replies. A person reviews what goes out.
• A domain registrar — to register your domain in your name.

We'd also hand over information if we were legally required to. We'd tell you unless we were forbidden from doing so.

Your phone number and text messages

We use your mobile number only to text you about your own website. We never sell, rent or share your mobile number, or your agreement to receive texts, with anyone else for their marketing. We keep a record of when and how you agreed. If you reply STOP, we stop texting you; reply HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply.

Cookies

We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. If you sign in to your account, we store a sign-in token in your browser so you stay signed in. Your language and light/dark preference are stored in your browser too, and never leave your device.

How long we keep it

While you're a customer, and for a year after a site comes down, in case you want it back. Ask us to delete it sooner and we will.

Your rights

Whatever state or province you're in, we'll do the following on request: tell you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or send it to you in a file you can keep. Text or email us and we'll do it — we won't make you fill in a form or charge you for it.

Children

This service isn't intended for people under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from children.

Security

Sign-in and payments run over encrypted connections, and card data is handled entirely by Stripe. We do our best, but no system is perfect — if we ever had a breach that affected you, we'd tell you promptly and plainly.
